Engine protection? That’s usually only for the touring enduro, that occasionally ventures off-road. But the underride guard also makes sense for other motorcycle concepts too. Even hand guards were originally only for enduros.
The functional edge design and the careful integration of the single-piece, aluminium STREET engine protection offers full protection for the engine casings, oil pans, manifolds and the catalytic converter. The integrated ventilation openings on the front, left and right sides support the cooling of the engine and aggregates, particularly when travelling long distances on a motorway. Angled baffles deflect stone chips or foreign bodies thrown up by the front wheel in such a way that the risk of damage to the manifolds and the engine is considerably reduced. A further advantage of this engine protection can be seen when crossing ruts, for example. It deflects swirling spray water downward and considerably reduces thermal stress on the engine casing, manifolds and seals, especially when the engine is hot.
